“Research in Your Backyard” event focuses on Childhood Cancer Awareness

September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and State Relations was pleased to host legislators at the American Family Children’s Hospital for a special briefing and tour highlighting the latest in cancer research pediatric cancer treatments happening right here at UW-Madison.

This “Research in Your Backyard” event featured a briefing by Dr. Paul Sondel, Dr. Christian Capitini, and Dr. Bill Murphy and legislators and staff participated in a tour of the American Family Children’s Hospital. We were pleased to be joined in this event by our partners at UW Health and BioForward.
